A diamond border is typical of a Moroccan mosaic table . In addition to the decorative function, it also has a symbolic function: as stylized eyes (witch eyes), square diamonds are supposed to protect people from any kind of harm. The mosaic setters place a wide variety of patterns and ornaments into this frame. However, one thing is always the same: the glazed mosaic pieces are previously carved from the handcrafted Zellige tiles with a sharp-edged hammer. Each table top is purely handcrafted and therefore absolutely unique.
Blue symbolizes freshness and coolness, has a calming effect and makes you longing. In this mosaic bistro table, cobalt blue zellige diamonds accentuate the natural-colored tiles made of unglazed clay. Since blue is the most commonly used color for Moroccan mosaic furniture, the blue mosaic table can be combined with other garden furniture and fountains as you wish.
